Face masks are my jam! I have many beauty masks piled up in my bathroom cupboard because I was determined to find the perfect mask that gives me a youthful glow! Since I haven't been able to shop at some of my favorite cosmetic stores, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own face mask!
I've made a lot of face masks before, but I wasn't really impressed with the results, until now! This Avocado Hydrating Face Mask is precisely what my super dry skin needs! It's packed with tons of nutritious ingredients and so easy to make!
Here's What You'll Need:
Avocado – Avocados are packed with healthy fats, and when applied to the skin, the natural oils nourish and hydrate your skin. They're also packed with antioxidants and vitamins that can help with redness and inflammation.
Honey – Honey can help with various skin problems, including eczema, acne, and psoriasis. It can also help with healing and inflammation.
Lemon Juice – Lemon is filled with Vitamin C, which is an antioxidant and lightening agent. It helps to give skin a flawless glow and also helps prevent avocados from getting tanned!
Plain Yogurt– The creamy texture of yogurt can help lock in moisture and potentially brighten your skin. Some studies show that it can even help even out skin tone.
Optional: Rolled Oats – If you want to increase the effectiveness of this mask, add oatmeal! Its anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe and care for the skin.
How to Make an Avocado Face Mask
When making this mask, simply put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Wash face with cleanser, dry then apply mask liberally to face and neck. Leave it for about 20 minutes before washing off the mask.

DIY AVOCADO HYDRATING FACE MASK
Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/3 cup of plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- optional: 2 tbsp rolled oats
Direction
- Put all the ingredients into the blender, and blend until smooth.
- Wash face with cleanser, dry then apply mask liberally to face and neck.
- Leave it on the face for 20 minutes.
- Wash the mask off your face and follow up with your typical skincare routine.
