After yesterday reviewing the culture of drinking tea in various countries briefly, as well as reviewing four herbal teas that are good for consumption in the morning, this time, I will share a simple herbal tea recipe to treat colds or coughs. And, of course, I got this health information from Dr. Zaidul Akbar.
See: Tea Drinking Culture Around The World - China, UK, Japan, Morocco and Indonesia
Herbal tea is a concoction made from a mixture of flowers, leaves, seeds, roots, or dried fruit which is then processed to make a drink that can be beneficial for the body. Although called "tea," the herb or drink is sometimes not always related to the leaves of the tea plant. It can also be a mixture of tea leaves with other ingredients or even no tea leaves.
The ingredients used to make a tea that can be used as a medicine for colds and coughs consist of powdered tea, ginger, cardamom, and cloves. Herbal teas are typically brewed with hot water to produce a fragrant beverage.
The benefits of concoction of the ingredients above have extraordinary benefits for the health of the body. Especially to prevent coughs and colds.
This herbal tea recipe also has other benefits besides preventing cough and cold. Among them can warm the body (very suitable in winter), increase stamina, and maintain endurance. We know that the weather these days is difficult to predict, making the body susceptible to disease. Therefore a strong immune system is needed to deal with erratic weather changes.
The following is a recipe and how to mix an anti-cold herbal tea taught by Dr. Zaidul Akbar.
To make this herbal tea, it's just enough to use the four ingredients I mentioned above. I'm sure these ingredients can be obtained easily and cheaply.
If you are perplexed, simply follow the steps below:
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp of powdered tea
- 1 segment of ginger, the type of ginger emprit is better
- 5 cardamoms
- 3 cloves
- 300-400 ml of water
- honey (Optional)
To give a taste that is not too bland, you can use honey with a measure of 2 to 3 spoons or according to taste.
The steps that must be followed for making tea:
- Prepare a container to boil the ingredients
- Pour water and add the four ingredients
- Boil all ingredients until boiling
- After boiling, immediately turn off the fire
- Wait for it to warm up before drinking (Add honey if you want tea's sweet taste)
In addition to adults, this tea drink is also safe for children with a dose of 2 to 3 times a day (medium glass size), depending on the body condition. If you feel the body is not too squeaky, cough cold, two times a day is enough. Consume it regularly to get the benefits of the tea.
In addition to trying to treat the disease with the above herbal medicine, the doctor also suggested drinking it while praying.

I hope that every recipe I share can help those who need it.
People in today's modern era are more obsessed with finding a cure for a disease than learning to find the cause of the disease.
